Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure that allows to assess the degree to which a person’s body mass corresponds to their height and thereby indirectly evaluate whether the mass is insufficient, normal, or excessive. This parameter is not suitable for assessing athletes due to their developed musculature and, as a result, a high BMI.
